On average, temperatures in September, October and November 2025 were within the normal range. According to MeteoSwiss, this year ranks 30th on the list of the warmest autumns in the country since measurements began.

This year's autumn temperatures deviate 0.1 degrees from the reference value, as can be read on the website of the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology (MeteoSwiss) on Friday. Between 1991 and 2020, the average temperature of a Swiss fall was 6.4 degrees.
According to MeteoSwiss, the start of autumn was very rainy. At the Leukerbad measuring station, precipitation in October reached the fifth-highest level in 140 years. November made up for this with hours of sunshine: The duration of sunshine was above average throughout Switzerland.
