Thousands of people in Israel have once again protested for a ceasefire in the Gaza war and the release of hostages still being held in the Gaza Strip. Many demonstrators in the coastal metropolis of Tel Aviv displayed posters with photos of abductees. "Stop the bloodshed" was written on another sign. There were also renewed demonstrations in other cities across the country.

"Liri - sorry," said the father of a kidnapped woman at a rally in Tel Aviv. He had not been able to hold his daughter and laugh with her for a year. The father argued that some far-right Israeli ministers were mainly to blame for the fact that no agreement had yet been reached with the Islamist Hamas to end the war and release the hostages.
The cousin of a man whose body is still being held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip demanded in a speech: "From the river to sea, Palestinians and Israelis should be free". The exclamation is a variation of the controversial slogan "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free". It is sometimes understood as a denial of Israel's right to exist and as an endorsement of Hamas' terrorist attack on October 7, 2023.
