More than six weeks after the start of the latest escalation between Israel and the Hezbollah militia, US President Donald Trump has announced a ceasefire in Lebanon. The ten-day ceasefire is to begin at midnight (local time), he wrote on his Truth Social platform after talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
