According to US President Donald Trump, Russia is ready for a solution in the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.

"I think we have a deal with Russia," Trump said after signing several decrees on the education system in Washington. "We have to make a deal with (Ukrainian President) Zelenskyi," Trump said. "I thought it would be easier to negotiate with Zelenskyi. So far it's been more difficult, but that's okay." Trump left open whether he will see the Ukrainian president at the Pope's funeral services in Rome on Saturday.
