"Alina has been a tireless champion of justice, a fierce defender of the rule of law and an invaluable advisor to my campaign and transition team," Trump announced. "She was unwavering in her loyalty and unmatched in her resolve - standing by my side through numerous "trials," battles and countless days in court."
Trump described the 40-year-old as a "first generation American" with roots in the Middle East who had become a role model for women in law and politics. Habba had represented him in several civil lawsuits, including after accusations by the writer E. Jean Carrol for sexual abuse and defamation. Trump rejects the allegations against him.
