US President Donald Trump has expressed his satisfaction with the first talks held by an American delegation in Moscow on the Ukraine war. "We hear that things are going okay in Russia", Trump said about the negotiations on a ceasefire. However, this does not mean anything as long as there is no final result, Trump added at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. US special envoy Steve Witkoff is in Moscow and is holding serious talks, Trump explained. "We are getting good signals", he continued.

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has attached conditions to his agreement to a ceasefire proposed by the USA in the war against Ukraine. At an eagerly awaited press conference, he called for a lasting peaceful solution to the conflict - but did not back down from the maximum demands he had already made.
