Israel Trump threatens Hamas: "This is the last warning"
US President Donald Trump has issued a sharp threat to the Hamas leadership.

The terrorist organization must immediately release all hostages and hand over all the bodies of the murdered Israelis "or it's over for you", Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform - partly in capital letters. "I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job. Not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don't do what I say."
Trump went on to write that he had just met with a former hostage whose life had been destroyed by Hamas. "This is the last warning to you," Trump wrote. Now is the time for the Hamas leadership to leave the Gaza Strip while they still have the chance.
Addressing the population, the US President wrote: "A wonderful future awaits you, but not if you hold hostages. If you do, you are dead." The people should make a "wise decision" and release the hostages or they would pay for it later.
Shortly beforehand, the US government had made it clear that it was holding direct talks with the Islamist Hamas. The special envoy tasked with this is authorized to speak with anyone, explained spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt in Washington when asked why the US was negotiating directly with the group for the first time, contrary to its long-standing policy.
