US President Donald Trump has called for the United States to take over the nuclear power plants in Ukraine for security reasons. Following a telephone conversation between Trump and the Ukrainian head of state Volodymyr Zelensky, the US government announced that it would be the best protection for the Ukrainian energy infrastructure if these plants were owned by the USA.
