According to President Donald Trump, the US government wants to create the possibility of acquiring a visa known as a "Gold Card" for unlimited residence in the United States.

The purchase could cost five million dollars, Trump said in the White House. "A lot of people want to come to this country, and they're able to work and create jobs and build businesses and pay taxes, all those kinds of things."

When asked whether this also applied to Russian oligarchs, Trump replied that it was "probably" - he could well imagine that oligarchs were among the interested parties. He knows "a lot of nice people".

According to him, the program should start in about two weeks.
