Ukraine has repeatedly targeted the Russian oil industry as an important branch for financing the Russian war of aggression. The authorities also reported numerous Ukrainian drone attacks in other regions of the country. Several airports, including Samara, Tambov, Penza, Saratov and Ulyanovsk, temporarily suspended take-offs and landings due to the air alert.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced in the morning that 69 Ukrainian drone attacks had been repelled. In addition to the Samara region, the Saratov region and the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which was annexed by Moscow in 2014, were particularly affected. As always, the ministry did not provide any information on hits or damage.

The Ukrainian counterattacks in the Russian war of aggression, which has been going on for almost four years, have repeatedly led to damage and casualties, including among the civilian population. However, the consequences are disproportionate to the devastating destruction, many deaths and injuries caused by the Russian attacks in Ukraine.
