A man and a woman were seriously wounded in an attack in the city of Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv and succumbed to their injuries shortly afterwards, according to the Magen David Adom rescue service. According to media reports, the victims were a couple aged between 70 and 80. Videos showed severe damage to a residential building at the site of the impact.

In Bnei Berak, east of Tel Aviv, a young man was taken to hospital with minor shrapnel injuries to his hand, according to the emergency services. Damage due to the rocket attack was also reported at the Savidor train station in Tel Aviv. Train services at the station were temporarily suspended.

According to media reports, the fire department in the center of Israel was called out due to several fires related to the rocket attack.

Before the rocket attack, an air raid alert had been sounded in Israel. Most of the missiles were intercepted by the Israeli air defense. However, the military announced that impacts had been reported at several locations in the center of the country. It called on the population to stay away from these locations.

During the night, the authorities in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates - including Dubai - also reported that air defenses were deployed to repel attacks.
