According to the authorities, two people have been killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian industrial city of Saratov on the Volga. Several apartments in a house were hit in the course of the attack and two people died, as Governor Roman Bussargin announced on Telegram. He expressed his condolences to the relatives of the dead. Emergency accommodation has been provided for residents of the house. The damage to the apartments would be repaired as quickly as possible at state expense, the governor said. Saratov has already been attacked several times.

There have also been reports of Ukrainian drone attacks from other Russian regions. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense destroyed a total of 41 Ukrainian drones in the country. The information cannot be independently verified.
In the Voronezh region, debris from a downed drone hit a company that had to temporarily cease operations, as Governor Alexander Gusev reported. He did not say what the company was producing. There were no casualties.
In its defensive campaign against Moscow's war of aggression, Ukraine repeatedly takes aim at targets in the Russian hinterland, where arms factories operate, for example. The damage and casualty figures are usually significantly lower than those caused by Russian attacks in Ukraine. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been going on for almost four years. No agreement is yet in sight in the ongoing peace negotiations led by the USA.
