Russia fired 72 drones at the neighboring country from several regions, the Ukrainian air force wrote on Telegram in the morning. 47 drones had been shot down and 24 of them had lost their location. This is mostly due to the use of electronic defenses.
Some of the drones used by Russia are said to have been deployed without explosives with the aim of keeping Ukrainian air defenses busy.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of 13 Ukrainian drones in the morning. They had been hit over the Voronezh, Belgorod Bryansk, Kursk and Kaluga regions. According to the Rosaviatsiya aviation authority, the airports in Saratov, Penza, Saransk, Ulyanov and Kazan temporarily suspended take-offs and landings for security reasons.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a large-scale Russian invasion for almost three years. As part of its defensive campaign, it has repeatedly attacked targets in Russia.
