According to official reports, fuel depots in two Russian regions have been hit in night-time drone attacks in Ukraine. The impact and fire at a facility in the Tambov region was confirmed by the governor of the region, Yevgeny Pervyshev, on Telegram. Security forces and rescue teams were quickly on the scene. "All the necessary forces and resources were deployed," he wrote, without giving details of the location and extent of the damage.

According to the Exilenova Plus telegram channel, a fuel depot was hit in the village of Dmitrievka, around 50 kilometers northwest of the regional capital Tambov. The images and videos published there show a large fire at the facility.

An oil depot was also hit in the neighboring Voronezh region to the west. "In one of the districts, some fuel reservoirs were slightly damaged by the crash of a downed drone," wrote Governor Alexander Gusev. According to him, no fire broke out as a result. There were also no casualties as a result of the drone attacks, he wrote.
The Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally limited itself to listing the number of drones shot down in its announcement. The Russian military does not disclose any damage. According to the report, 102 Ukrainian drones were shot down during the night - in the regions of Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Rostov, Saratov and Voronezh. The Tambov region is missing from the ministry's list.
Russia began its war against Ukraine almost four years ago and since then has regularly bombarded its neighbor's hinterland with drones, missiles and cruise missiles. Ukraine has now also developed long-range drones to attack fuel supply objects in the Russian hinterland in particular. However, the damage is in no way comparable to the destruction caused by Russia.
