According to Russian authorities, a Ukrainian drone attack has damaged the thermal power plant in the city of Oryol. The governor of the region, Andrey Klychkov, said on Telegram that parts of an intercepted drone had fallen on the plant.

According to him, the consequences were power outages and problems with district heating in some parts of the city around 400 kilometers southwest of Moscow.

Attack on substation and refinery

The Russian telegram channel Astra also reported Ukrainian attacks on a substation in the city of Vladimir and a refinery near Yaroslavl on the Volga. The Ministry of Defense in Moscow announced that 130 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted over Russian territory during the night. Such military information cannot be verified in detail, but it allows conclusions to be drawn about the extent of the attacks.

Ten drones against the Ukrainian city of Sumy

Russian airstrikes during the night mainly hit the northern Ukrainian town of Sumy, which, according to local reports, was attacked by ten combat drones in one hour. A residential building and other civilian objects were hit, military governor Oleh Hryhorov announced on Telegram. He reported at least two casualties. Ukrainian railroad depots were hit in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for more than three and a half years.
