The US State Department has approved the sale of weapons worth an estimated 825 million US dollars (around 710 million euros) to Ukraine. It concerns longer-range missiles and related equipment requested by Ukraine, the responsible Defense Security Cooperation agency announced in Washington on Thursday (local time). Congress had been informed - as is customary when selling such armaments abroad. Ukraine is reportedly receiving financial assistance for the arms purchase from the USA, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway.
