Muslim associations criticize

Hamdi was on a lecture tour in the USA and was taken away by ICE officials at San Francisco Airport on Sunday morning (local time), according to a statement from the Association for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The reason for his arrest was Hamdi's criticism of the Israeli government's actions in the Gaza Strip. CAIR announced legal assistance for Hamdi.

The Association of Muslims in Britain called on the British government to provide Hamdi with diplomatic support. Freedom of the press cannot be selective, the association wrote on X.
