An economic agreement without a peace agreement is "impossible", explained Bessent. "We have to wait and see whether President (Volodymyr) Zelensky wants to continue," said the minister. Before the scandal in the White House on Friday, the Treasury Secretary had traveled to Ukraine for negotiations on the economic agreement.
