Both supporters and opponents are spending millions in the referendum campaign for the planned expansion of the Swiss highway network. The budgets for the uniform financing of the healthcare system and the two tenancy law proposals are more modest.

The non-partisan "Yes to safeguarding the national roads" committee alone has so far reported a budget of just over CHF 3.4 million to the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO), as the latter announced on Friday. In total, the budget of the Yes camp amounts to almost CHF 4.1 million.

In the run-up to the vote on November 24, the SFAO stated that the No side had a budget of just over CHF 2.7 million. The Swiss Transport Club (VCS) contributed the lion's share of this with a good CHF 1.7 million.

The advocacy alliance "Healthcare with a Future" is spending a good CHF 1.5 million on the campaign in favor of uniform financing in the healthcare system. The alliance includes the hospital association H+ and the medical association FMH. The opponents' budget amounts to CHF 0.55 million. The Swiss Federation of Trade Unions is spending the most by far, namely a good CHF 395,000.

The proponents are spending a good CHF 1.7 million on the two tenancy law proposals on subletting and termination for personal use, while the opponents are spending CHF 750,000.
