In Yemen, the government has declared the agreement with the United Arab Emirates in the fight against the Houthis terminated and called for the immediate withdrawal of Emirati troops. Presidential Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi made the declaration in a speech. The alliance between the government and Saudi Arabia and the Emirates in the fight against the Houthis has thus effectively ended and the conflict between the actual allies has surprisingly escalated.
