Russia Zelensky announces phone call with Trump
Shortly after the eagerly awaited telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has also announced a phone call with Trump.

"There will be a telephone conversation today," he said at a press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb in Helsinki. He would discuss the next steps and further details of the discussed ceasefire with Trump. "I think that I will hear the details of his conversation with Putin from him," Selensky explained. He would then provide information about the content of the phone call.
On Tuesday, Trump and Putin discussed an end to the war in Ukraine, which has been going on for over three years, over the phone. They also discussed a limited ceasefire. Technical details are to be discussed at a further meeting on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.
