Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi is expecting the arrival of a high-ranking US delegation this week. "This week, some people from President (Donald) Trump's team, serious ones, will be with us in Ukraine, and there will be separate meetings with my team, talks, work," the head of state said after a meeting with the President of the European Investment Bank, Nadia Calvino, in Kiev, as reported by Ukrainian public radio. According to unconfirmed media reports, the Ukraine negotiator appointed by Trump, Keith Kellog, will only travel to Ukraine next week on Thursday. US Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to attend the Munich Security Conference, which runs from Friday to Sunday.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for almost three years with Western support.
