On Wednesday, the Zurich District Court sentenced Mass Voll President Nicolas Rimoldi to a conditional fine for verbal abuse. The 30-year-old denied having called SBB transport police officers "Nazis" and "fascists".

The 30-year-old received a conditional fine of 15 daily rates of 70 francs. The verbal derailment at the end of January 2022 was triggered by Rimoldi's refusal to wear a coronavirus mask on the train.

Transport police and Securitas employees finally took him off the train in handcuffs and brought him to the police station. During questioning, Rimoldi denied having used the words "Nazis" and "fascists".

It was possible that he had said something "in his displeasure". "But certainly not that". However, the transport policemen testified that Rimoldi had been unruly and had called them that.

The verdict is not yet final. The Mass Voll president is currently facing several criminal proceedings, none of which have yet become final.
