The lawyer for the "Emir" of the "Brothers of Geneva" denied the existence of a terrorist organization at the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona on Tuesday. His client is charged with supporting such an organization.

In his plea, the defense lawyer requested an acquittal. Last night, the federal prosecution demanded a prison sentence of nine years. The lawyer described the prosecution's statements as a story without consistency.

Neither the "Brothers of Viti" nor their Geneva branch had the characteristics of a terrorist organization: there was no hierarchical structure - everyone did what they wanted. There had also been no training, acts of violence or operational activities.

The "brothers" in Geneva as well as in Viti/Kosovo were fascinated by the Islamic State (IS) terrorist militia during its rise. However, they did not believe in a violent takeover in a region of Kosovo, as they considered this unrealistic.
