The Danish toy company Lego grew significantly in the first half of 2025. Turnover rose by 12 percent to a record 34.6 billion Danish kroner, according to the company.

The bottom line was a net profit of 6.5 billion kroner, 10 percent more than in the same period last year. Lego boss Niels B. Christiansen attributed the company's continued growth to its wide range of products, "which continues to be relevant for all age groups and interests". According to the annual report, Lego launched 314 new building sets in the first half of the year, more than ever before.

Pokémon fans can look forward to the Lego series

According to the company, products from series such as Lego Technic, Lego City, Lego Icons, Lego Star Wars and Lego Botanicals were particularly popular. The Group has announced a new series for the coming year: Lego Pokémon.

According to Lego, it is making progress in increasing the proportion of sustainable materials in its products and reducing its dependence on fossil fuels. Among other things, Lego introduced a new material for tires that is made from recycled fishing nets, rope and engine oil. Overall, the Lego Group doubled the proportion of renewable materials in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
