Specifically, turnover rose to 1.19 billion US dollars - an increase of 4 percent at constant exchange rates compared to the previous year. Logitech also improved its profitability. Adjusted operating profit (non-GAAP) climbed by 19 percent to 230.0 million, as the French-speaking Swiss company announced on Tuesday after the US stock exchange closed.
However, the adjusted gross margin fell by 30 basis points year-on-year to 43.8 percent. This was due to the US tariffs. However, Logitech has already improved again in the quarterly comparison. Net profit (non-GAAP), on the other hand, climbed by a good 17 percent to 215.6 million US dollars. Logitech exceeded consensus expectations with all key figures.
APAC particularly strong
Logitech is also satisfied with the regional development. "We did well in all regions," CEO Hanneke Faber is quoted as saying in the press release. Growth was again particularly strong in Asia-Pacific, but the EMEA region also saw an upward trend. In the USA, however, sales declined slightly.
In terms of the individual product categories, Logitech grew particularly in the large segments of gaming, keyboards and computer mice. Only the smaller categories such as headsets recorded a slight decline.
In its outlook, Logitech says it is taking a pragmatic middle course between the strong momentum of its own business and global uncertainties. Sales of between 1.375 and 1.415 billion US dollars are expected for the important third quarter. This corresponds to an increase in sales at constant exchange rates of 1 to 4 percent. Non-GAAP EBIT is expected to be between 270 and 290 million dollars.
