Great Britain also wants to hold a conference on the future of the Gaza Strip. This will be announced by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Egypt, according to the London seat of government.

He will take part in the signing ceremony of the peace plan there. The German government had previously announced its intention to organize a reconstruction conference with Egypt.
The UK will play a leading role in the next phase of the peace plan brokered by US President Donald Trump, Starmer will outline, the statement continued. According to the statement, a conference lasting several days in the UK will discuss how the Gaza Strip can recover and be rebuilt. The aim is also to help the Palestinian Authority (PA) with reforms so that it can support Gaza's reconstruction.
The expected participants include Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the PA, as well as representatives of international development finance, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank. It was initially unclear when the conference would take place.
Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul (CDU) had emphasized that the conference planned together with Egypt "must be one where Israel and the United States are present". Germany would also provide humanitarian aid and support the establishment of an administration in the Gaza Strip.
