Air traffic London Heathrow Airport reports record passenger numbers

The UK's largest airport, London Heathrow, has reported record passenger numbers.

Last year, around 83.9 million passengers were counted - three million more than in the previous record year of 2019, the airport operator announced. Compared to 2023, there were 4.7 million more passengers.

Travelers can use several airports to get to London. In addition to Heathrow in the west of the British capital, there are also Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and City Airport. The operators of Heathrow expect passenger numbers to continue to rise this year. A total of 84.2 million passengers are expected.
