  • A man was caught who had to hand in his ticket 30 years ago.
  • Nevertheless, he always drove in Switzerland.

On Wednesday at 13:15, the St.Gallen cantonal police carried out a traffic check on the A13 highway. A 54-year-old man was stopped and checked in his van.

During the check, it emerged that he had been driving in Switzerland despite having been disqualified from driving for 30 years. The man's driver's license had been revoked indefinitely in Switzerland in 1994. He then moved to his home country and obtained a driver's license there.

He drove to Switzerland several times with his foreign driver's license. However, his driving license revocation in Switzerland was still valid. He will be reported to the public prosecutor's office for driving a vehicle several times despite having his license revoked.
