A 26-year-old Afghan man suffered a serious stab wound in Baden on Saturday evening. A large police force was initially unable to find the perpetrator.

When a patrol from the Baden municipal police found the man, he was unresponsive, according to the Aargau cantonal police on Sunday. The ambulance took him to hospital.

According to the press release, shortly before 9 p.m., a third party informed the patrol, which happened to be present, about a seriously injured person near Schlossbergplatz. The Aargau cantonal police and patrols from surrounding regional police forces took part in the subsequent search for the perpetrator.

The cantonal police are investigating how the incident occurred.
