A 47-year-old Swiss man was killed by gunfire on Monday evening in Vogelsang in the district of Baden AG. According to the police, they arrested a 51-year-old German man as a suspect early Tuesday morning.

The circumstances of the crime and the motive are still unclear, the Aargau cantonal police announced on Tuesday. The emergency call center received a report of a lifeless person in Vogelsang shortly before 11.00 pm.
The rescue services were only able to determine the death of the 47-year-old Swiss man at the scene. The body of the deceased had gunshot wounds. The 51-year-old German was quickly suspected of the crime. The man was arrested.
The criminal investigation department began the investigation in cooperation with the public prosecutor's office. The public prosecutor's office opened proceedings. The police did not provide any further information on request, citing the ongoing investigation.
