In Thailand's capital Bangkok, three people also died after a high-rise building under construction collapsed. This was reported by the Thai daily newspaper "The Nation", citing national authorities. Dozens of people are still missing under the rubble in Bangkok's Chatuchak district, which is also popular with tourists.

According to General Zaw Min Tun, the spokesman for the military junta in Myanmar, numerous injured people are arriving at hospitals. The clinics urgently need blood supplies. In Myanmar, a crisis country under the junta's authoritarian rule, it is often difficult for information to get out.
