"Mer gänd nomol alles!" was the motto of the Guuggenmusigen for the sixth and final day of carnival. Once again, the formations showed off their magnificent "Grende" (large masks), played well-known melodies and performed wild rhythmic interludes.

According to estimates by the Lucerne police, around 40,000 people lined the streets and alleyways through which the "Monstercorso" of the Vereinigte Guuggenmusiken marched, the same number as in 2024. According to the police, the atmosphere was peaceful until the end of the event. There were no notable police operations.

The parade started at 7.30 pm on Bahnhofstrasse. The Guuggenmusigen then marched along the lake basin to the old town.

The Lucerne carnival had begun on Dirty Thursday. On Thursday and Güdismonday, a large parade made its way through the city. Thanks to the fine weather, up to 100,000 carnival enthusiasts were in the city on Monday afternoon.

In 2026, Lucerne Carnival will begin a little earlier than this year, on February 12.
