Media Netflix to broadcast television programs in France in future

Netflix has announced a globally unique cooperation with a traditional television broadcaster. In France, the TV program of the TF1 Group will be available on the US streaming platform from next year, said Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters.

Netflix subscribers in France will be able to access TF1's five TV channels as well as content from the group's own streaming platform TF1+ via the service's app, as Peters told the AFP news agency on Wednesday.

TF1 is the largest private television group in France and has been working with Netflix for years on the production of films and series. At the same time, however, TF1 is expanding its own streaming offering in order to compete with the US company in this area.
