Train services in the Netherlands have been almost completely paralyzed by winter weather and a technical fault. The Dutch railroads announced that no trains would be running anywhere in the country until 10 am. In addition to numerous problems at points due to the severe winter weather, there was also a computer malfunction in the early morning, according to the railroad company.

International trains were not affected by the disruption for the time being. Other transport companies are also able to run their trains locally.

The winter weather is also continuing to cause problems on the roads and at Amsterdam's major airport Schiphol. Around 350 flights have already been canceled.
