The figure also includes the remuneration that Berger received in his previous role as Head of Corporate Solutions. This means Berger earned less than his predecessor Christian Mumenthaler in 2023, who was awarded total remuneration of CHF 7.56 million at the time. However, Mumenthaler also held the position of Group CEO for the entire year.

Swiss Re puts the remuneration for the entire twelve-member Executive Board at CHF 38.7 million for 2024. This compares with the CHF 43.8 million paid out in 2023. However, 14 members of the Executive Board were on the payroll at that time. The twelve members of the Board of Directors received a total salary of CHF 8.60 million, compared to CHF 8.20 million in the previous year. Jacques de Vaucleroy earned 3.40 million (3.27 million).
