The average CO2 emissions of passenger cars were around 113.9 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The legal target value of 118 grams was therefore once again undercut, as the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) announced on Thursday.
The average CO2 emissions of delivery vans and light articulated lorries were 192.4 grams per kilometer. This was slightly more than the target value of 186 grams. Sanctions imposed on importers whose vehicles exceeded the limit values generated a net income of CHF 22.6 million.
Overall, sales of new vehicles fell last year. The market share of electric vehicles and vehicles with hybrid drives also decreased.
