Operating profit adjusted for special effects climbed by almost 150% to 53.5 billion dollars. The AI pioneer thus once again exceeded experts' expectations. At the bottom line, Nvidia earned 58.3 billion dollars after a profit of just under 18.8 billion dollars in the same quarter of the previous year.
The turnover of around 91 billion dollars expected for the current quarter is above the average forecast of analysts. With its products for data centers, Nvidia is a key driver of the AI boom and is benefiting the most from it.
Investors initially reacted cautiously to the eagerly awaited figures. In the first few minutes after the figures were published, the share price fell by up to around three percent. It then fluctuated around zero.
