The urgent suspect was arrested last week, the chief public prosecutor's office in Aargau announced on Thursday.

It had published unpixelated images from a surveillance camera at the beginning of May. The judicial authorities had previously threatened to publish the footage if the wanted man did not come forward.

On the late evening of Friday, February 16, the initially unknown man held a female employee of the Argovia petrol station store on Landstrasse in Nussbaumen and threatened her with a knife.

After a brief scuffle, the woman opened the till and the suspect stole several thousand francs. The man then fled.
