Following a burglary in Bern, a police patrol apprehended two youths on Monday. Further investigations are underway, the cantonal police announced on Wednesday.

The police were alerted to the two youths early on Monday evening. They were said to have been behaving suspiciously at an apartment building on Hallerstrasse in Länggasse.

The police were able to apprehend the two youths a short time later. One did not put up any resistance, the other was stopped on Grosse Schanze after a short escape - "with the help of passers-by", according to the police. The police assume that they are responsible for a burglary on Monday and for other crimes.
