Following the fire disaster in Crans-Montana VS, the canton of Valais is setting up a hotline for psychological support. This service is aimed in particular at the emergency services, those affected and relatives of the victims of the devastating fire on New Year's Eve.

Psychologists, psychiatrists and child psychiatrists are available on 027 604 35 50 at the psychiatric emergency outpatient clinic of the Upper Valais Hospital Center to listen to, advise and support people with psychological problems, the canton writes in a press release on Monday.

This hotline is available on working days. The call is free of charge and directs callers to the service best suited to their needs.

Depending on the situation, psychological or psychiatric care can be financed by basic health insurance or the Victim Assistance Act (OHG), it added. Solutions can also be found for people in financial difficulties.
