For his first full calendar year at the helm of the pharmaceutical company Roche, CEO Thomas Schinecker earned 10.0 million Swiss francs. In 2023, the CEO's compensation had amounted to 9.6 million for 9 months.

Schinecker took over as CEO in March 2023. Schinecker's total annual remuneration is therefore lower than that of his predecessor Severin Schwan, who received a total of CHF 11.5 million in 2022.

The variable compensation components for the Roche CEO include non-voting equity securities and shares with longer vesting periods. For the calculation of CEO compensation, Roche takes these shares into account at a reduced market value. All members of the Roche Executive Committee together received 30.8 million Swiss francs in 2024, compared to 34.4 million Swiss francs in the previous year.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Severin Schwan - who moved from the CEO position to the Chairman's chair in March 2023 - earned 5.7 million francs in 2024. He was paid 4.5 million for his term of office in 2023 (April to December).
