Eastern Switzerland Search operation aborted after alleged swimming accident in Rorschach

A search was carried out for a person in the lake at the Rorschach SG lido on Wednesday. According to a third party, someone had jumped from a raft into Lake Constance and then never resurfaced.

A search operation was launched after the report was received shortly after 4.10 p.m., according to the St. Gallen cantonal police. The search with a Rega helicopter, police drones and divers from the St.Gallen cantonal police and the lake rescue service yielded no results, according to the police.

The St.Gallen cantonal police had no knowledge of a missing person, it added. The operation was therefore called off shortly after 8:30 pm.
