The body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Aarau, as the cantonal police announced on Saturday morning. Her identity has not yet been determined. The body of a first missing person had already been recovered from the building on Thursday. According to the statement, the police and public prosecutor's office have begun their investigation into the circumstances of the death.

According to the police, it is still unclear what caused the explosion and fire in the detached house on Wednesday evening. Now that the two missing residents of the house have been found, the police are focusing on the corresponding investigations.

The residents, who were evacuated for safety reasons after the explosion and fire, will be able to return to their homes during the course of Saturday. Experts will take gas measurements beforehand as a precautionary measure, according to the press release.

The explosion occurred on Wednesday evening at around 8.15 pm. When the first emergency services arrived, the detached house was fully engulfed in flames. The walls of the mainly wooden building had collapsed.
