This hearing is the second for a politically responsible person - two days after the questioning of the mayor Nicolas Féraud.
With the decision to bring charges against a former public official, the public prosecutor's office wants to obtain further information for the period from 2021 to 2024, i.e. the period in which the politician was in office.
The hearing of the municipal councillor in Sion began at around 08:30. The man decided to answer the questions of the public prosecutor and the victims' lawyers present, as a source familiar with the matter revealed to the Keystone-SDA news agency.
A total of nine defendants are facing the same charges, namely involuntary manslaughter, involuntary assault and involuntary arson.
