Traffic accident Senior dies after head-on collision in Sarmenstorf AG
An 86-year-old driver crossed into the oncoming lane between Hilfikon AG and Sarmenstorf AG on Tuesday evening and collided with an oncoming car. He was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he died a short time later.

The three people in the other car, including a five-year-old child, escaped with minor injuries, as reported by the Aargau cantonal police on Wednesday. The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on the out-of-town road between Sarmenstorf and Hilfikon.
After the violent collision, the two vehicles involved veered off the road into the grassland. It was initially unclear why the senior citizen crossed into the oncoming lane, according to the police. The exact circumstances are now being investigated. Both cars involved in the accident were transported away with total damage.
