Although the leading economic indicator rose by 0.2 points compared to the previous month, it has remained below the important threshold value of 50 points, above which an increase in activity in companies is assumed, since April.

Sentiment in the service sector was also weak. Here, the corresponding index value from the statistics office fell by 0.6 points to 49.5 points. This means that it is now also below the important 50-point mark.

In China, a real estate crisis has been weighing on economic performance for a long time. There is also a fierce price war in parts of industry, which is having a severe impact on companies' profits. In addition, the trade dispute with the USA has led to companies having to switch to other markets.
