Construction chemicals Sika takes over US company HPS completely
Sika makes another purchase. The Group is taking over HPS North America, a supplier of materials for building construction. Sika had previously held a minority stake, but now the construction chemicals specialist is also acquiring the remaining shares.

HPS sells Schönox brand products manufactured by Sika Germany on the US market, according to a press release issued on Tuesday. The full integration of the business into Sika USA creates a strong platform for further expansion in the Building Finishing segment and enables significant efficiency gains.
The products, which include self-leveling and waterproofing solutions, are sold through an established distribution network and are primarily used in flooring applications, according to the statement.
HPS has successfully developed its business activities in recent years and significantly increased both sales and profitability. However, no specific figures are given. No details are given on the purchase price either.
Sika had already announced an acquisition the day before, namely that of the UK-based roofing systems supplier Cromar Building Products.
