The music streaming market leader Spotify has developed an automated playlist that adapts to user behavior throughout the day. It is now also available in German.

The "Daylist" is based on what music you like to listen to at different times of the day and on different days of the week. For the selection, music tracks are divided into categories according to mood, tempo and theme, among other things.

With global availability, the learning playlist will also be available in 14 other languages, including German. Daylist was launched in the US market a year ago. In spring, 65 countries followed, initially in English.

The "Daylist" is one of the most popular functions for discovering new music on Spotify, said Molly Holder, the manager responsible for personalization. Around 70 percent of playlist users access it every week.

Spotify is the number one in music streaming and most recently had 626 million monthly active users, 246 million of whom were also paying subscription customers. Apple and Amazon compete by offering music in higher sound quality and with surround sound, which Spotify does not yet offer.
