The Stadler "Converter" plant specializes in the development and production of battery chargers as well as traction and auxiliary converters for urban transport vehicles, according to a press release issued on Monday. These components will be supplied from the new site to other Group plants, where they will be installed in streetcars, subway trains, rack railways and narrow-gauge railroads.

Stadler has reportedly been present in Poland since 2006 and employs around 1,500 people at its various sites there.
